Our dance programs
Three ways to dance at Prima
Whether you’re interested in joining a studio dance class, competition team, or performance group, we have programs for you.
1. Dance classes
Dance styles for all ages, including ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, acro, and more. Fall classes begin in September and end with our annual recital in May. Special summer programs are also offered.
2. Performance groups
Groups that perform at a variety of local events to educate and inspire the Black Hills community. Our performance groups, called Training Group, are open to kindergarteners through high school seniors.
3. Competition teams
Comprised of auditioned dancers who strive to compete locally and regionally in many surrounding states. Our competition teams, called Prima Company, are offered for ages 7–18 in the fall.

Tuition Payment Options
1. Auto-Monthly
These payments will be drawn automatically on the 1st of each month from your bank account or card on file. (A 2.5% convenience fee is charged for debit/credit card payments). Tuition rates are for the full season (September – May, including studio holidays) and not by the number of classes in a month. The monthly tuition rate is the same for each month regardless of the number of classes held in a particular month.
2. Annually
If you pay annually, you receive 5% off the annual tuition. Annual payment is due in full at time of registration or prior to August 31 (unpaid annual accounts will automatically transfer to auto-monthly).
Other Tuition Info
There is a $30 yearly registration fee for each student or $50 per family household. We offer discounted tuition rates for family members living in the same household. All tuition includes a 6.5% sales tax. No refunds will be given for missed lessons; however, students are welcome to attend “make-up” classes for those lessons missed prior to February 1. Written notice by the 7th of the month before the month you are wanting to withdraw is needed to stop auto-monthly payments.
